Turn on the screen with gestures
Record the wear and tear of your power button by using gestures to turn on the screen. You can turn on the screen via the proximity sensor or by lifting the device. The proximity sensor discovery allows you to take your phone out of your pocket and automatically turn on the screen. Shaking on the sensor works great when your hands are dirty! You can also set a tilt angle that turns on the screen when the phone is lifted (tilt to wake up).
Keep the screen on automatically
Choose from different methods that detect device usage and keep the display on. The motion method detects small movements from you by simply holding the device. Waving on the proximity sensor is another way to keep your screen on and possibly extend the delay. The tilt angle method allows the screen to stay on when it is propped up, even when you are not holding it. You can also choose to have the screen stay on when you use your chosen apps, while charging, or during a call (the screen always turns off when you place the phone against your ear).
Fast timeout to save battery
You can choose the screen timeout when there is no active hold feature to keep the screen on. If the screen is not on, it should time out quickly to save battery power. The screen may turn off even faster when the proximity sensor is covered (in the pocket or face down) or when the device is pointed down. You can also set a separate timeout for the lock screen. KinScreen will not turn off the screen when other apps keep the screen on, unless you have chosen to actively turn off the screen.
KinScreen is designed to be as efficient and user-friendly as possible. It uses minimal CPU and memory, and sensor usage is highly optimized. Some functions use more power than others. The proximity sensor can use noticeable power on some older devices, but it is negligible on most modern devices. Tilt angle activation will use significant battery power as it must keep the device awake to operate. You can configure optional exceptions to limit the time that this feature is used.
All functions are highly customizable to your liking. Fine tuning of digital parameters is locked in the free version. Please upgrade to the premium version to fully unlock all customizations and support future development!
