Recorder

Lyric’s new feature is a built-in recorder. Record yourself performing and attach it to part of your lyrics. It is a powerful tool that allows users to keep track of their melody and never get confused which recording goes with which verse.

Rhyme pairing

Lyric automatically checks your rhyming lyrics. Whenever you’re done typing, rhyming words are automatically color coded. You also have options like increasing the rhyme sensitivity to include more rhymes and only match words at the end of the line.

Counter syllable

The syllable counter keeps track of the syllables in each line of your lyrics. The number of syllables is displayed on the left side of the screen. In bar mode, you also have a syllable counter for each quarter bar so you can try to break your lyrics evenly or create a unique syllable pattern.

measuring mode

Measure mode allows you to break your lyrics into quarter measures. This is useful for lyric recitation. This mode also synchronizes with the metronome. The metronome moves along quarter bars at your specified BPM (beats per minute) to help you keep track when practicing lyrics.

Search a word

Lyric also lets you search for new words. Find rhymes and rhymes closely for words you’ve used before or search for a synonym or definition of a word that just isn’t quite right. After searching for a word your results are presented in a mobile tab. This way you can work on your lyrics and see search results simultaneously.

Metronome

The metronome allows you to specify tempos and timings for both the application background and quarter bars (in bar mode). This allows you to use the metronome either as an audio or visual reference.

Lyric also has a built-in notepad, which appears on the screen as a mobile tab. This allows you to keep track of everything to do with your lyrics without having to clutter up your lyric itself. This helps keep the experience pleasant and clean.
