Sound Meter Pro is the 4th set in the Smart Tools® collection.

The SPL (sound pressure level) meter app uses your built-in microphone to measure the volume of noise in decibels (db), and shows a benchmark. I had calibrated a lot of Android devices with an actual sound level meter (dBA).

DO NOT FORGET!! Most smartphone mics have been aligned with the human voice (300-3400Hz, 40-60dB). Therefore, the maximum value is limited by the manufacturers, and very loud sound (100+ dB) cannot be recognized. Moto G4 (max. 94), Galaxy S6 (85dB), Nexus 5 (82dB) … I had calibrated the main Android devices with an actual meter. You can trust the results of routine noise levels (40-70dB). Use this App as an auxiliary tool, please.

Vibrometer uses the phone sensors to measure vibration or an earthquake, and it shows a benchmark as an earthquake detector (seismometer).

The measured values ​​are linked to the Mercalli Modified Intensity (MMI) scale. If it is incorrect, you can calibrate so that the maximum value is around 10-11. Use the results only for reference, as Android devices have a wide variety of performance and sensitivity.
